Get Involved

We are lucky to have a very loyal – albeit small – band of volunteers. However we’re always looking for (and are really grateful for!) additional help.

If every parent, carer or family friend of the 400+ pupils at Dickens Heath School gave just one hour a year to support the PTFA we could raise thousands and thousands of pounds, for more brilliant resources like the trim trail, school farm and electronic whiteboards that benefit every single pupil.

Here’s how to help:

  • Come to a PTFA event. We know everyone is busy and so not everyone can volunteer, but why not help us raise money instead by coming along to an event with a pocket full of small change? Think how much we could all raise together.
  • Register for AmazonSmile and use Easyfundraising to make your purchases – they make a donation at no extra cost to you.
  • Give us an hour of your time. Man a stall, bake a cake, flip some burgers on the BBQ, help tidy up – something small can make a massive difference. Email us below to be added to the volunteer WhatsApp group
  • Donate tombola/raffle prizes – or ask your employer if they are able to support us in some small way through sponsorship or a prize.
  • If you have time to get involved, then join the PTFA and help to, promote or run organise events. We’d be delighted to see you. Take a look at the available roles sub-page to see the roles we’re currently really in need of.

Find out more by following us on Facebook, dropping a note into school reception with your contact details or emailing us at ptfa@dickensheath.org.uk and we’ll get in touch.
